Mini Tummy Tuck in Atlanta
Mini tummy tuck in Atlanta or Marietta is also known as mini tuck, mini abdominoplasty or partial abdominoplasty. It is an outpatient procedure for people who have smaller amounts of excess skin and fat in the lower tummy area. Most people who need mini tuck do not need much muscle tightening as performed during a full tummy tuck. It is also sometimes called “scarless tummy tuck” because there is no scars around the navel. The scar is placed in the bikini area. The navel is not usually cut or moved during mini tummy tuck. Tummy liposuction with SmartLipo can be usually be combined with mini tummy tuck. Mini Tuck is most often performed in our office without the need for general anesthesia. Dr. Okoro specializes on body sculpting and contouring. We have mini tummy tuck before and after photos and more in the office!

- Have a stable weight
- Do not smoke (or plan to quit)

- Have realistic expectations
The best way to determine if you are a good candidate for a mini tummy tuck procedure, is to schedule a confidential appointment with Dr. Okoro. During your consultation, he will review your health history and perform an examination to determine if a mini tuck is best for you.
How is performed?
Mini tuck is usually performed with local anesthesia and a mild relaxing medicine or it could be performed under general anesthesia. Most of the time, mini tuck is performed in the office as awake procedure with local anesthesia, oral medication for relaxation after our 5 step liposculpting procedure. During mini tummy tuck, Dr. Okoro will use special liposuction technique to remove the excess fat and remove excess skin. If necessary he tightens the abdominal muscles from the navel to the pubic area. The length of the scar is usually much smaller than the scar from a full traditional tummy tuck. However, the length of the scar depends on the amount of skin to be removed.
How about recovery?
The recovery from a mini tuck is much shorter than from a full tummy tuck. Most of our patients are able to return to work within a week.
How about Drains?
Dr. Okoro does not usually use drains after mini tummy tuck.
How much does it cost?
