Our Atlanta patients have asked us the differences between Coolsculpting and Liposuction. Coolsculpting is a non-invasive means of reducing fat without surgery. It is an alternative to liposuction and is intended for patients with very focal regions of fat accumulation on the abdomen or ‘love handles’. It does not require anesthesia. Liposuction is surgical, requires some sort of anesthesia (local, Oral, IV or General). There is a downtime with liposuction. Coolsculpting is an alternative but not a replacement for liposuction.
