What is the Brazilian Buttock Lift in Atlanta, Georgia?

The Brazilian buttock lift (Fat grafting to the Buttock & hips or fat transfer) is a natural buttock augmentation procedure using fat cells harvested from one area of the body and transferred to the buttocks.  Fat transfer to buttocks results in natural buttock enhancement without buttock implants.

What is buttock augmentation or lift?

There are two different ways to enlarge your buttocks:
1) Brazilian Butt Lift: Fat injections or fat transfer to the buttocks
2) Butt Implants: Insertion of silicone implants

 

Our plastic surgeons will recommend skinny bbl if you do not have enough fat. They will recommend butt implants over the Brazilian butt lift ONLY IF you are really tiny and have no body fat stored in your abdomen. If you have enough donor fat, our plastic surgeons prefer to augment the butt using fat injections-the Brazilian butt lift. He believes that this method results in the most natural and sensual look for the buttock area. He only recommends butt implants if you are very tiny with no fat in your stomach or flank area. The fat transfer method has a lower risk of infection compared to the butt implant procedure.

How is the fat injected into the buttocks?

The fat removed from the selected area of the body is carefully processed and purified then it is injected to the buttocks. Usually, a large amount of fat is needed to obtain the best butt lift. In order to get enough fat, Dr. Okoro must liposuction at least 2 areas of your body. After liposuction, our plastic surgeons carefully purifies the fat so that only the best donor fat cells are re-injected back into your buttocks for augmentation. The fat is placed or transferred to the buttocks with a special cannula using a sterile technique. Our plastic surgeons will then inject the fat cells into many different areas and depths of the buttocks to achieve the desired result-a technique that causes the fat cells not to be reabsorbed and allows for permanent and natural-looking results. After the injected fat cells begin to receive blood supply, they will remain for life. Correct injection methods are essential to achieve a uniform, smooth, natural appearance to the buttocks. It was very important to choose a Plastic surgeons who are very knowledgeable about fat grafting.

How long do the fat injections last?

It depends. If the Plastic surgeon harvested, processed, and injected correctly, the result should be long-lasting. The Brazilian butt lift result is highly dependent upon the experience of the Plastic Cosmetic surgeon. Plastic Surgeons who are not using correct purification or injection methods will not obtain long-lasting results. Be sure that your Plastic surgeon is experienced in this procedure!

When can I go back to work after the butt augmentation procedure?

Following the Brazilian butt lift procedure, you must not sit directly on your buttocks for up to two weeks. This ensures for a permanent result. Most people can return to work in 2-3 weeks. You must wear a special garment (to control swelling) for two weeks. There may be a small amount of swelling for up to 6 weeks. Once the swelling is gone, your butt will look and feel completely natural!

However, you should be able to resume all normal activities at 4 weeks post-op.

 

If I live out of town, how long do I need to stay in Atlanta?

Many patients fly into Atlanta to see our plastic surgeons for butt injection. Our plastic surgeons require a minimum stay of 7 days. Our staff will help arrange transportation to and from his office throughout your stay. Our office will also help you with transport from Atlanta airport to your hotel. What is the cost of the Brazilian Butt Lift?

The average TOTAL cost of butt augmentation with fat injections, (the Brazilian butt lift) averages $9,900-$15,000 depending on the number of procedures performed. Keep in mind that you also get a complete body resculpting (abdomen and waist) with this procedure. Thus, this fee includes multiple areas of liposuction plus hundreds of micro fat injections to the buttocks. Fees quoted include the physician’s fee, anesthesia, hospital costs, 2 postoperative garments, and all post-operative office visits. You should not have to return for any additional injections. Our Georgia plastic surgeons have a very special fat injection technique to ensure long-lasting results.

The fee varies slightly depending on the amount of fat, which needs to be extracted in order to achieve the desired result. Our Georgia plastic surgeons will determine the number of areas, which need to be liposuctioned in order to achieve your goal. This is discussed at length in your consultation.

NOTE: There are other surgeons performing “fat injection to the buttocks” for a lower cost, but be sure to ask them if their results are permanent! When the technique is done too quickly or incorrectly, the fat will NOT last. Be sure to compare apples to apples.

What about butt injections with Hydrogel, Silicone, and other substances?

Butt injection or augmentation with substances other than fat or butt implant are not FDA approved. Injection of these substances can pose a significant health risk. Our Plastic Surgeons do not inject these substances because it is not safe. We offer our patients safe buttock enhancement with their own fat cells or with implants.
