Brow Lift – Forehead Lift Incision Types – Georgia

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that corrects lines on the forehead and around the eyes. A brow lift, like many plastic surgeries, is designed to meet the needs of each patient. Generally, the procedure will vary according to the type and location of the incision made. The best way to determine what is right for you is to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Stanely Okoro.

There are direct brow lifts, mid-forehead lifts, coronal forehead lifts and endoscopic forehead lifts. A direct brow lift involves removing a section of tissue above the eyebrow to tighten the skin—the scar is hidden by the hair of the brow. Heavy sagging of the eyebrows is an indication for a mid-forehead lift. A coronal and endoscopic forehead lift involves incisions along the hair line from ear to ear so the forehead skin may be tightened.
