We offer our patients several options for anesthesia (Awake, Oral Sedation, IV sedation). Most of our procedure are completed with just oral sedation or awake. The first process starts with numbing the treatment area with special lidocaine solution using very tiny incisions. These usually heal very well and the tiny incision are imperceptible.
Once the area is numb, Dr Okoro inserts the Cellulaze cellulite laser treatment fiber. The energy from the cellulaze melts the fat and fibrous bands that created the cellulite. The energy is also directed toward the skin to stimulates collagen production. Increased collagen in the skin helps increase the skin’s firmness, elasticity, and smothness
If you have excess fat, it can also be removed at this time. The Cellulaze cellulite laser treatment takes about 1 ½ hours. After the procedure, we will place your compression garment for you and discharged home with your medications. There may be fluid leakage from the tiny incisions for about 1 day. These incisions are too small for stitches. Many of our patients have noticed bruising for 1-2 weeks. Your postoperative appointment are confirmed prior to discharge.
Most of our patients are able to resume their normal activities within 2-3 days. We recommend resuming strenuous exercise after two weeks. It may take up to 3 months to see the final results as your skin heals and remodel.
