Understanding Tricep Implants

The triceps are a set of muscles that sit just under the biceps on the bottom of the arm. The primary function of the triceps is to support the elbow joint when the arm is straightened. While it is fairly easy to increase the size of the biceps with the right exercises, the same cannot be said about the triceps. It can actually be very difficult to add muscle tone to the triceps, which often makes men feel very self-conscious about their arms. If exercising is not giving you enough muscle definition, then you may want to consider getting tricep implants.

The Basics of Tricep Implants

Tricep implants are used to cosmetically increase the size of the underarm. This is done by inserting an implant directly into the arm. Since the implants are made of a special silicone material, they will never leak or rupture. The use of this silicone also ensures that the implants look and feel like a real muscle once they are placed inside the underarm. Every implant is also customized based on the size and shape of your arms to make sure you get a naturally toned look.

The Details of the Procedure

You will need to be administered an anesthetic before starting the tricep implant procedure. Once you are impervious to any discomfort, the surgeon can create a small pocket for the implant. Placing the implant inside the pocket ensures that it stays in the correct position when the arm is repeatedly moved. The entire process is then repeated for the other arm.

After the Surgery

You should be able to go home on the same day. You will need to try to limit the use of your arms as much as possible for a set amount of time after the surgery. Heavy lifting is absolutely forbidden while recovering. Basically, you need to take it as easy as possible and follow our team’s aftercare instructions during your healing period.

There will be absolutely no restrictions on your activities once you have fully recovered. The results of the procedure are designed to be permanent, so you will get to keep your newly toned triceps the rest of your life.
