How are Jaw implants performed?
After consulting with our Plastic Surgeons, the correct jaw implants are selected based on your specific needs. All preoperative testing and labs are performed prior to the day of the procedure. On the day of the procedure, when you arrive at our fully accredited ambulatory surgery center, you will meet with certified anesthesia providers to discuss the best anesthesia option for you. You will receive preoperative antibiotics prior to surgery. The procedure is performed utilizing small incisions through the mouth. The incisions are hidden at the back of the mouth. These FDA approved implant are placed on the mandible. We do not use drains. You will be provided postoperative pain medication. Most patient experience some bruising, swelling. The vast majority of patients can return to work in one week. We encourage our patients to avoid strenuous activities for 4-6 weeks.
Jaw Implant cost
The average cost of jaw implants depends on whether it’s a custom implant or regular implant. The average range is from $8,000 to $15,000. Your individual quote will include the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia costs, facility fees for the operating room and all other supplies and implants needed. Your fees also includes all your follow-up appointments.
Can I combine Jaw implants with other procedure?
Many patients can safely combine other cosmetic procedure during the insertion of the jaw implants. The most common combined procedures are chin implants, micro liposuction, SmartLipo, and neck contouring.
