HOW DOES IT WORK
Tumescent liposuction of the breast is performed by our surgeons to reduce the size of the breast and avoid the incisions that are generally placed on the breast. During liposuction for breast reduction, a specialized micro-suction tube is inserted through a very small incision. The entire breast is numbed with tumescent fluid. Using gentle suction, fat cells are removed through this tube. Fat removal with liposuction is permanent. The procedure takes about 2 hours or less. There are no stitches to remove and there is little or no downtime. Call or email us today!
WHERE IS THE SURGERY PERFORMED?
Scarless breast reduction can be done in our surgery center without general anesthesia. It can also be performed at the hospital if desired. This is an outpatient procedure. The majority of our liposuction breast reduction is performed under local anesthesia without “going to sleep”. Some of our patients are given medication for relaxation during the procedure.
WILL THERE BE SCARS?
Well, nobody wants scars. Every surgery has some sort of scar. The incisions from the liposuction of the breast are very small and hidden underneath the breast. These micro incisions heal quite well. They measure about ¼ of an inch or 4mm. Dr. Okoro usually will use 2 of these scars per breast. There are no stitches to remove!
WILL IT WORK FOR ME?
Scarless breast reduction is appropriate for a small reduction of breasts that don’t have too much sagging. It is designed for women whose breasts have a significant amount of fat in their breasts.
There is a limit to how well the breast tissue will contract after liposuction. This procedure is reserved for small to moderate reduction of breasts. It will work for you if you were looking to go down a cup size and don’t need or care about a lift of any kind.
For women that have larger breasts and have a greater degree of breast sagging, and require a lift and shaping, short scar breast reduction would be a better option.
HOW MUCH DOES SCARLESS BREAST REDUCTION COST?
Scarless Breast reduction surgery is generally considered a cosmetic procedure and is not covered by most health insurance. The final cost of the procedure depends on many factors such as where the procedure is performed (Office vs Hospital). However, the average cost of Scarless breast reduction surgery is about $4500. The best way to know the cost of your scarless breast reduction is to be evaluated during a consultation with Dr. Okoro. Financing is available for this procedure.

Many insurers define breast reduction surgery as reconstructive based on the amount of tissue that will be removed. Only fat is removed with Scarless breast reduction. Carefully review your policy to determine coverage.
YOUR SATISFACTION INVOLVES MORE THAN A FEE
When choosing a plastic surgeon for breast reduction, remember that the surgeon’s experience and your comfort with them is just as important as the final cost of the surgery. Dr Okoro are primarily concerned with your safety, excellent outcome, and satisfaction.
